Quality Analyst
Are you the sort of person that likes to tinker? Do you find yourself wanting to really understand how an application works? Do you secretly desire to find those little holes that the developers missed? Come on, admit it, you get a sense of satisfaction from raising a bug that nobody else would have found. Moreover, you like finding clever ways of replicating the actions that you took to find that bug in the first place and then automating them to prove your point to the developers that created the code in the first place.
Well, that's ok. That's more than ok in fact, at 7digital we believe that releasing Software should be a non event. That is to say that as far as possible there's no intervention from us during the actual release but furthermore, when it's made it to our production environment it stays there and behaves itself. We want our customers to have the best possible experience and we think that whilst that is down to a large number of considerations, one of the biggest is definitely ensuring that our Software is bug free.
To be able to carry out this role you should have knowledge of a testing framework such as RSpec. You'll know what BDD is and you'd be able to explain that and the underlying concepts not only to our developers but to other members of the business too.
To apply, please e-mail your CV and a covering letter to careers.inbox+development (at) 7digital.com and title the mail, "7digital: I am applying for QUALITY ANALYST" N.B If the subject does not contain the exact text above, your application risks being deleted. ABSOLUTELY NO AGENCIES
